A First at the Sawmill!
During the visit of the CNPF with forest owners, we received a cork oak log (Quercus suber L.) from the Nantes region. This tree, felled by the storm, was thus able to be valorized.
The log was sawn into boards, while taking care to preserve its bark, which is characteristic of this species.
The boards will be used by the owner for interior fittings, showcasing this wood that is rarely sawn in our region.
