Thermo poplar

On request of Architects, Grouazel sawmill produces also cladding for private owners houses. The constructions shown are fitted with an open jointed Poplar cladding. To be suitable for outdoor use, and resistant to fungal or insect attacks, the Poplar timber has been thermally modified, (heated with steam at 170°) in order to have its molecular structure changed and particularly cellulose crystallized. This improves also dimensional stability of the boards. .
